Faculty Positions

MD, PhD Investigators, Informatics Research

The Indianapolis Center of Excellence for Implementing Evidence Based Practice is currently seeking PhD or MD investigators with an interest in informatics research. The Implementation Researcher is responsible for the initiation, coordination, integration, execution, and completion of informatics research at the VA Center of Excellence (COE) for Implementation of Evidence-based Practice (CIEBP). The Implementation Researcher works collaboratively with the COE Director and diverse Programs of the COE, the Indianapolis VAMC Research Service, Regenstrief Institute, Inc., and Indiana University, Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI). He/she is responsible for:

  1. The development and direction of independent, original, and innovative research, including, but not limited to, methodological advances in utilizing health service research and informatics principles and applications to improve care and delivery of health services;
  2. the pursuit and support of an active research and development program that stimulates and promotes collaborative healthcare informatics research among junior and senior VA health services research investigators, managers and key university partners (departments, centers, faculty and graduate students);
  3. and development of dissemination and training opportunities for VA clinical and other research staffs.

Biostatistician, HSR&D

The Indianapolis Center of Excellence for Implementing Evidence Based Practice (COE) is currently seeking an experienced Biostatistician. As a member of the COE’s Bio-statistical Team, the incumbent will plan and conduct complex statistical analyses for health services, epidemiologic and quality improvement research, conduct descriptive and graphical analyses, and summarize data for reports, manuscripts and grants. Experience should include linear/non-linear multivariate statistical models and repeated measures designs. Some experience with statistical sampling design issues required. Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biostatistics and experience in epidemiologic and quality improvement research. Salary will be based on education and experience.
